James Peter Youngquist went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 15, 2016, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's' Disease. He was born in Bellingham, WA on October 20, 1936 to parents Kathleen and Jess Youngquist, but considered himself to be an Everett native. He graduated from Everett High School in 1954, and from the UW School of Pharmacy in 1959. He was a pharmacist at Mullen and Youngquist Pharmacies for 50 years, which was his special calling in life. He delighted in serving his customers, many of whom became long-term friends. His heart for service showed with his involvement in several church and community organizations. He enjoyed helping friends, family and his church with remodeling/carpentry projects, even going on international mission builds with his father. He served as board member and president of Everett Civic Music, and volunteered at the Salvation Army, counting red kettle monies at Christmas. He and his wife, Susan, also loved being greeters at New Life Foursquare Church and were active in the senior ministry. His hobbies included woodworking, fishing, traveling, classic cars, model trains and playing the violin.

He is survived by his loving wife, Susan, children, Russell Youngquist (Laurie), Susan Feemster, Lori Youngquist, Brian Loucks (Ann), and Robyn Ross (Randy), nine grandchildren; Paul, Ben, Kalee, Tessa, Tanner, Danika, Trevor, Ezekiel, and Isaiah, and brother, Jon Youngquist (JoAnn). He was deeply devoted to his family and loved spending time with them.

Jim's family would like to thank the caregivers at The Terrace at Beverly Lake, Dr. Laird Findlay, Dr. Michael Koerner, and the medical staff on the 7th floor, D wing at Providence Everett Medical Center for their loving care and compassion.

Visitation will be held 9-10:30 am on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Evergreen Funeral Home, followed by a celebration of his life at New Life Foursquare Church, 6830 Highland Drive, Everett, WA, at 1:00 pm.

Memorial donations may be sent to "Home 4 Home" 530 East Lake Stevens Road, Lake Stevens, WA 98258 (a mission to build houses for low income families in Mexico), or Northwest Parkinson Foundation, 7525 SE 24th St. Suite 300, Mercer Island, WA 98040.
