Billie King passed away peacefully on the morning of November 25, 2016. Born in Everett in 1924, she was a lifetime resident of the city and served for many years as the utility billing clerk. Her dearest friendship with Cleone, who passed away a few years ago, dated back almost 90 years. For decades Billie and her husband, John were very active in their beloved church, Delta Baptist. They knew everyone in the church and besides, teaching, participating in the women's group, and singing in the choir, Billie would sometimes play the organ for Sunday service. She was also a busy working mom with three daughters, Carol (who passed away in 1999), Leslie, and Barbara. After retirement Billie and John traveled the US, visiting every Capitol in the 50 states. Billie is survived by her husband of 76 years, John King, daughters, Leslie Grimm and Barbara Trunkhill; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A gathering in her memory will be held at 1:00 Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at the Evergreen Cemetery Chapel, 4504 Broadway, Everett, WA 98203.
